Creating The Perfect Pet Rock

Creating the perfect pet rock is extremely fast and simple. Just follow the 10 steps below and in no time at all you will have yourself the perfect pet. Ten Steps to Creating a Pet Rock

Begin by thinking about the qualities you admire most in a friend or companion. These should be both personal and physical characteristics.
Choose a rock that inspires you. Consider the size, shape and color (Note: You should choose a rock that is fairly smooth, as it will be easier to work with).
Wash and/or sand down the surface of the rock, especially the part where you will be creating the face. Be careful not to sand it too much, as it will get very glossy and begin to show finger prints. Just sand it enough so that your pet feels smooth to the touch.
Gather a series of craft items, such as googly eyes, felt, paint, feathers, beads, glitter, ribbon, pipe cleaners, construction paper, markets, hot-glue gun, etc.
Draw a sketch of how you envision your pet rock to look, and use this a blueprint.
You are now ready to start creating your unique pet! Start with the eyes. Use googly eyes, or be more creative by using paint or markers to customize their shape and color.
Use your craft supplies to add features to your pet as you see fit.
When you are done creating your pet, it's time to give him or her a name. Choose a name that suits your pet rock's personality and appearance.
Now introduce your pet rock to the world. Bring it to work with you, introduce it to your friends and family, and show it where it will live in your home.
