There are very few illness that your pet rock may contract. If, however, your pet rock does become ill, DO NOT panic. Simply refer to the Diagnosis and Cure Table below:
Disease/Illness | Symptoms | Cure | Length to Recovery | Additional Caring Techniques |
Loose Eye |
|
The cure is simple if caught early. Use your hot glue gun to simply add some more glue to the loose eye. This may require taking the eye right off and re-applying it. If not caught soon enough, you risk having the eye fall off completely and losing it, at which point an eye transplant will be necessary. However, googly eyes are fairly easy to attain, so there should not be a problem finding a replacement. | 1-2 Days (to allow glue to dry completely) | Avoid all contact with water and dirt. Perhaps apply an eyepatch to avoid further irritation. |
Rock Flu |
|
The most effective cure is Rock Oil. The recipe can be found below, or may be purchased on our Merchandise page. | 7-10 Days (the older the pet rock, the longer the recovery) | Make sure your pet rock gets lots of rest. Avoid going outside and contact with other pet rocks. |
Chipping |
|
If the chip is a small one, soak your pet rock in a
hot bath, then re-sand the chipped area. This will minimize more chips
breaking off of the already broken surface.
If the chip is a large one, find the missing piece and re-apply with a hot glue gun. This is a very painful process for your pet rock, so make sure to do it with the utmost care. |
2 Days for a small chip
Up to 1 Week for a large chip |
Make sure your pet rock is not active. Staying still and avoiding physical activity is best during the healing process. Be aware that the chipped area may be more prone future additional chips. |
